The Covenant Explained

THE COVENANT

Our plan for our 100 Year Anniversary has been laid out… through the Bible in 2008. Members of Northside Baptist are reading through the entire Bible this year. The Covenant is not just about having a head knowledge of God, but combining that with a heart knowledge. It is about developing and maturing in our relationship with Him. So what is “The Covenant?” It basically boils down to these four aspects:

  1. As a church, we covenant to read through the entire Bible in 2008
  2. Sunday School classes cover the previous weeks reading helping you understand how it relates to the entire Bible and draw modern life application.
  3. Covenant Groups meet in homes all across Rock Hill to discuss the previous weeks reading, apply it to their lives, and have a time of prayer and sharing. In conjunction with this, having an accountability partner who you share with more intimately how God is speaking to you and who will hold you accountable to the reading of His Word.
  4. Celebrate the Covenant- We meet quarterly together on Sunday evening to for a time time of testimonies and fellowship.

New to Northside?  Don't worry you can plug right in.  We basically take a book each week, read it and then discuss it.  You can jump in with us wherever we are at!
